These are really funny and I love your "floating eyebrows" haha.. the background has a different feel than the characters.. i know you aren't done, but you might try adding a little bit of shading to the characters so they pop a little bit more and don't look so flat compared to the background.
i love the style of these. Very cartoonish. for being painted though i dont really see much so maybe some grass brushes or something of the sort
